The nose is fruity, elegant and reveals a certain controlled power and richness. We find notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy cherry and more slightly violet combined with touches of cardamom, vanilla as well as fine nuances of toast and cinnamon. The palate is fruity, fresh and reveals minerality, freshness, energy, tension/roastiness, a good guideline, a fine airiness in the approach, a fine creaminess and a fine reserved/almost restrained quality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, juicy/fresh cherry and more lightly fleshy blackberry combined with hints of violet, caramelisation as well as fine hints of chocolate, a subtle floral touch, a fine lily/peony edge (in the background). The tannins are fine, precise and finely chalky.
