The nose is aromatic and offers a certain elegance and power. There are notes of pulpy boysenberry, roasted and slightly crushed strawberry combined with fine touches of pulpy/creamy berries as well as hints of violet, Szechuan pepper, liquorice and light tobacco. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, minerality, good definition, a little creaminess, an acidic structure, freshness and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black currant liqueur, pulpy blackberry and more slightly juicy/acidic raspberry combined with a touch of crushed red currant as well as hints of blueberry, lily, vanilla, toasted/crushed almond and a subtle hint of smoke.
