The nose is fruity and reveals some pulpiness of the fruit, a nice fine grain, harmony and freshness. There are notes of pulpy strawberry, bright blackberry and, more lightly, delicate notes of crushed berries combined with fine hints of violet, almond, rose and chocolate and a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity and reveals minerality, freshness, juiciness and an acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and slightly fresh raspberry notes combined with hints of fresh flowers, fine points of racy minerality, small tart/fresh red berries and fine notes of toasted hazelnut, chocolate and a subtle hint of liquorice. Good length. The tannins are well managed and mellow.
