Château Labat 2021 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

The nose reveals a fine power, a fine tight grain, darkness and a fine spiciness. There are notes of cardamom, nutmeg and more lightly of bright red berries combined with hints of juicy/full bodied blackcurrant, wild berries and fine camphor, smoke and nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, some minerality, a fresh/mineral backbone and a fine crunch of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackcurrant, fresh/crisp raspberry and more lightly juicy berry notes combined with hints of violet, varietal, fine nutmeg and a hint of toast, graphite and cocoa. Good length.
