There are notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, morello cherry and more lightly crushed red currant combined with hints of lilac, black pepper, star anise and subtle hints of bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity and reveals minerality, acidity, freshness and good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fresh raspberry and slightly fresh blackcurrant combined with hints of lily, lilac and fine hints of small crunchy purple plums as well as discreet hints of star anise, cardamom, subtle hints of fresh blond tobacco and fresh almond. Good length. Positive bitterness from the cocoa on the finish.
