The nose is fruity and shows fine complexity, discreetly tight grain and fine contained edge. There are notes of wild raspberry, wild blackberry and some acidic/ripe red berries combined with hints of violet, a fine touch of violet plum and delicate hints of fresh blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and shows juiciness, minerality, and fine concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, ripe/acidic redcurrant and more lightly violet combined with hints of crushed violet plum as well as fine points of balsamic, liquorice and a subtle hint of almond. The tannins are a little tight and structured.
