The nose is fresh and reveals some complexity, freshness and concentration. There are notes of fresh violets, fresh lilies and, more slightly, fresh wild blackcurrants, combined with fine touches of pepper and fine hints of fresh berries, a very discreet hint of clove and an imperceptible hint of almost star anise. The palate is fruity and shows minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain amount of tension, fine volume, and a stretch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fresh wild raspberry and more lightly fresh lily/peony combined with hints of red berries and fine hints of chocolate, sweet blond tobacco and a hint of star fruit. The tannins are fine and smooth.
