There are notes of bright blackcurrant, fleshy blueberry and more lightly fleshy/juicy strawberry combined with fine touches of liquorice, a discreet hint of pine needle, and fine saline points. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, a certain purity of fruit, precision, good definition, sapidity and gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh boysenberry, blueberry and more lightly cherry notes combined with touches of bright red berries as well as fine hints of fresh sap, a discreet hint of star anise, a very discreet hint of salt and pepper (in the background). The tannins are precise, fine and sapid.
