Château de Portets 2021 – Graves

The nose is aromatic and offers precision, elegance, fine grain and precision. There are notes of pulpy boysenberry, pulpy raspberry and, more lightly, small blue plum, combined with hints of violet, pepper and fine nuances of nutmeg and sweet spices. The palate is mineral and reveals fruit, freshness, a certain juiciness and a mineral backbone (racy minerality). On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright red berry notes combined with hints of fresh purple plum as well as fine graphite, clove, a subtle hint of fresh flowers and fresh almond. Good length. Sweetness on the finish. Good work on the bitter taste.
