Domaine Jean Fery – Les Combottes 2020 – Pernand-Vergelesses

The nose is fruity, elegant, delicate, harmonious and reveals a nice finesse of grain. There are notes of juicy quince, ripe, juicy peach and more slightly ripe lemon, hints of kumquat, ripe, fresh yellow berries combined with delicate hints of beeswax, nutty butter and a discreet note of sense of place (local biotop), nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of almost fresh pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, energy, harmony, lovely vibrant acidity, melodiousness, accuracy and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy, sour lemon, quince and more lightly citrus mesocarp combined with hints of crunchy peach, tangy medlar, fine hints of quenette, lemon blossom, sweet spice, muscade and a very discreet hint of racy, almost iodine minerality and zest (in the background). A nice acidic and gourmet persistence. Good length
