Clos du Roy 2021 – Fronsac

Clos du Roy 2021 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals elegance as well as a little restrained power. There are notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, fleshy Bigarreau cherry and, more slightly, pulpy/fresh raspberry combined with delicate touches of violet, lily, fine varietal notes, mocha, spices and a discreet hint of fresh pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, minerality, good definition, juiciness, gourmandize and fruitiness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry and slightly Bigarreau cherry notes combined with a fine touch of pulpy blue plum, fine tonka bean, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of sweet spice. The tannins are supple and sapid.
