Château Roquevieille – Excellence 2021 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers elegance, a certain finesse in its relative richness, clarity and richness. There are notes of fleshy blackberry, blackcurrant and, more slightly, pulpy/crushed cherry, combined with hints of vanilla, violet and a fine touch of toast and chocolate. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, acidity, tension, gourmandize, as well as a good work on the bitter taste and some sapidity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, violet and, more slightly, fleshy/fresh strawberry, combined with delicate touches of mocha, peony, as well as fine nuances of toastiness and a discreet hint of vanilla. Nice sapid and gourmet persistence. Good length. Good work on the bitter taste.
