The nose is fruity and reveals power and crunchiness. There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, bright blackberry and slightly wild raspberry combined with hints of lily, peony, pepper and a discreet hint of spice. The palate is mineral, revealing freshness, good definition, tension and a mineral backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, juicy raspberry and more lightly lily/peony combined with hints of small berries as well as fine pepper and a subtle varietal edge. Good length. Some sapidity. Finely tight tannins.
