The nose is fruity, mineral and offers a fine structure and straightness. We find notes of pulpy wild blackberry, fleshy wild berries and more slightly raspberry combined with fine touches of pepper, nutmeg, a discreet hint of bergamot and vanilla. The palate is fruity and reveals freshness, minerality, a fine juiciness, a fine iodine character (in the background), a fine linear quality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, pulpy strawberry and more slightly fresh red berries combined with fine nuances of fresh blond tobacco, nutmeg as well as a fine hint of cardamom, a fine hint of star anise/savoury, discreet hints of toasted almond, a subtle hint of tonka bean (in the background). The tannins are sapid and smooth. Nice delicate notes of dark chocolate on the finish/persistence.
