The nose is discreetly tight and offers a fine stretch and concentration. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, pulpy raspberry and slightly juicy/pulpy berries combined with fine toasted notes, grey pepper and a discreet hint of fresh tobacco, fine spice notes, a discreet hint of lily and a subtle pepper note. The palate is finely balanced and offers minerality, freshness, some fattiness and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly raspberry combined with hints of plummy plum, strawberry as well as fine nuances of flowers, liquorice, blond tobacco and a subtle hint of vanillin. The tannins are racy and discreetly sticky.
