The nose focuses on clove, some spice and juicy/ripe berries with a subtle hint of pepper in the background. The palate is fruity and reveals minerality, acidity, juiciness, good definition and tension. An easy, accessible wine. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, raspberry and more lightly peony, fresh violet notes combined with hints of fleshy berries as well as fine hints of star anise and a subtle hint of almost sweet spice. Good length. The tannins are sapid and mellow. A fresh wine.
