Château Segonzac La Forêt 2021 – Bordeaux

Château Segonzac La Forêt 2021 – Bordeaux

The nose is fruity with a fine creaminess, intensity and substance. There are notes of black currant liqueur, fleshy blackberry and a touch of morello cherry, combined with hints of crushed red berries, tonka bean/chocolate, blueberry, violet and a fine touch of vanilla. The palate offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain greediness, roundness, volume, a fine acidic spine and a nice gourmandize. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of black currant liqueur, pulpy boysenberry and, more lightly, tart/pulpy raspberry, combined with touches of crushed berries, violet, chocolate, almond, fine vanilla and sweet blond tobacco. Good length. Some mellowness on the finish. The tannins are well managed.
