The wine has got a deep black cherry color with shine. The first nose is delicate and aromatic with notes of dried pear, undergrowth, humus, coconut, toast and chocolate. We find mainly tertiary aromas: lovely. After aeration, the aromas are confirmed. Potpourri of flowers, undergrowth, mushroom, gourmet chocolate and stewed black fruits. The attack is straight, fresh with powerful notes of undergrowth and toast. We have stewed black fruits which appear like blackberries and cherries. The tannins are present, there is structure. In the background, we have vanilla, grilled coconut, sweet spices such as cinnamon. There is a nice barrel work which balances with the evolving fruits. The mid-palate has a minty side. The finish still has the astringency of the tannins, then fruit and toast appear. Dried cranberry, liquorice, mocha and cinnamon end the tasting on a juicy and smooth note. Great.
