The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers structure, a certain controlled power as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of fairly ripe blackberry, strawberry and more slightly of fairly ripe red currants associated with a hint of violet, balsamic, licorice, racy / gravelly minerality and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a nice freshness, juiciness, creaminess, density, gourmandize, good definition, a fine airy side in the approach as well as a radiance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy strawberry, creamy blackberry and slightly violet associated with touches of juicy / bright red berry fruits, violet, a hint of balsamic, rose, with fine hints of cardamom, almond, tonka bean as well as a subtle hint of saffron, racy minerality (in the base) and an imperceptible hint of pine sap. Tannins are finely suave. Nice flavor and smoothness on the finish / persistence. Presence of a fine hint of liquorice on the finish /persistence.
