The nose is fruity, well-rounded and offers precision, a certain gourmandize as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, small bright red fruits and more slightly racy / gravelly minerality (almost discreetly saline) associated with touches of violet, crushed cassis, a hint of licorice, morello cherry, nutmeg as well as a subtle hint of bergamot and toast. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, balanced and offers tension, precision, a little airy side in the approach, balanced as well as a certain discreetly tight concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fresh raspberry and more slightly of juicy / crunchy strawberry associated with touch of cassis, racy minerality as well as fine hints of toasted almond, tobacco and a subtle hint of chocolate. Tannins are finely mellow.
