Haut-Bailly II 2019 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity and offers a certain sparkle, elegance as well as a little complexity. It reveals notes of fleshy cherry, violet and strawberry associated with juicy blueberry as well as a touch of cassis, zan, fine hints of spices, sichuan pepper and a very discreet hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a juicy / tangy frame, good definition, a certain crunch, precision, elegance as well as a certain silkiness, opulence.  On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / crunchy blackberries, juicy / crunchy raspberries and more slightly redcurrants associated with touches of fresh flowers (lily, iris) as well as hints of tonka bean, toast and a hint of cocoa on the finish / persistence. A little sapidity on the finish / persistence.
