Château Destieux 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a certain power, a fine texture as well as a certain thickness of aromatics. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and more lightly of bright wild blackcurrant associated with touches of raspberry as well as hints of pepper, spices, licorice and a very discreet hint of balsamic. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, gourmand, a certain roundness, a certain richness, a fine creaminess as well as a good balance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy / juicy blackcurrant and more slightly of wild strawberry associated with touches of wild berries, violets, spices, fresh tobacco as well as a subtle hint of licorice, chocolate, balsamic and a discreet hint of hazelnut on the persistence. Tannins offer a little firmness. Tangy on the retro.
