Château Ascension 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Ascension 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant, racy and offers depth. We find crushed blackberry, morello cherry and more lightly cassis associated with touches of blueberry, crushed berries, a hint of licorice stick as well as a subtle hint of pepper and vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, an acidulous frame, a certain tension as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / tangy cassis, wild blackberries and more slightly small black berries associated with a touch of raspberry, violet, tonka bean and a subtle hint of pepper. Tannins are precise and structured.
