Château Croix de Labrie 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is flowery, elegant and offers a small concentration as well as power in mastery and finesse. Beautiful breadth of the aromatic palette. It reveals notes of cornflowers, lily, blue berries and slightly raspberry associated with touches of crushed strawberry, hints of crushed cherry, delicate hints of licorice, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle point of sense of the place (local biotop). The palate is fruity and offers radiance, gourmandize, radiance, depth, a nice energy as well as a nice melodious and fresh side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, bright cherry and more slightly pulpy redcurrants associated with touches of raspberry, lily, chocolate, caramelization, with fine hints of sweet blond tobacco, morello cherry. as well as a very discreet hint of cedar / small fresh flowers (in the background). There is a subtle hint of a sense of place and salinity on the finish. Tannins are elegant and suave. A certain richness / concentration but all in mastery / finesse. A beautiful grain and touched on the finish. Nice length.
