Domaine Armelle et Bernard Rion – Cuvée Marcel Heritage 2018, Vieilles Vignes – Nuits-Saint-Georges 1e Cru

The nose is aromatic and offers a certain concentration and a fine power. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, ripe/fleshy cherry and small notes of cassis associated with small touches of juicy/fresh plum as well as hints of tonka bean, zan, a subtle hint of lilac and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, pulpy/juicy fruit, roundness, a spherical side as well as a fine unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, juicy/pulpy blueberry and small notes of cherry associated with touches of crushed raspberry, zan, chocolate, toasted hazelnut and a subtle hint of toasted/vanilla.
