The nose is a bit off. This wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild small fruits and small notes of violet associated with small touches of sense of the place, a hint of pepper and a discreet hint of anise. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, a certain tension, precision, a small richness and a good balance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, boysenberry and small notes of quite ripe wild cassis associated with small touches of violet/flowers as well as slight hints of olive, a subtle hint of sage and of tobacco. Tannins are structuring.
