Assuli – Besi 2016, Nero D’Avola – Sicilia IGT

The nose is fruity, slightly tight and offers a fine richness, a discreet jammy side and a small freshness. It reveals notes of jammy blackberry, blueberry and a slight hint of raspberry associated with touches of sweet spices, slight hints of cigar box and a discreet hint of fresh clove. The palate is fruity and offers a juicy/tangy frame, freshness and a certain tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cherry and small crushed redcurrant associated with touches of tobacco, spices, nutmeg and a subtle hint of clove. Good length. Tannins are discreetly tight.
