The nose is aromatic and powerful with a fine tightness and some stretch/tension. There are notes of pulpy wild blackberry, violet and a bit of nutmeg combined with hints of bright red berries, pulpy bigarreau cherry as well as fine hints of saffron, black tea, discreet spice and a subtle touch of pepper. The palate is fruity, discreetly tight and offers minerality, smoothness, juiciness as well as a little freshness and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, redcurrant and, more lightly, bigarreau cherry, combined with a touch of blackcurrant, peony and fine spices and a discreet touch of pepper. Good length. Fine sapidity on the finish.
