Confidences de Château Coucy 2020

The nose is fruity and offers a little incisiveness, power and finesse. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, pulpy/crunchy strawberry and a bit of blueberry, combined with hints of bigarreau cherry, lily, vanilla and fine toasted and nutmeg notes. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, a little freshness, a little tension, a little tightness/containment in its richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed blueberries and more slightly pulpy/acidic redcurrant combined with hints of bigarreau cherry, violet as well as hints of nutmeg, fine toasted almond. The tannins offer a little mellowness. A little chewiness on the finish/persistence.
