Gurrieri – Grillo 2020 – Sicilia IGT

The nose is fresh and offers intensity, a small essence of flowers side / aromatic herbs. It reveals notes of lemon blossom, thyme blossom and small notes of juicy/ripe citrus associated with fine touches of orange zest, a discreet hint of fresh apricot and fresh white pepper. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a nice definition, a certain gourmandize, a fine frame, tension, a good structure, a fine straightness and a small richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, lemon and small notes of fresh/juicy mango as well as fine hints of yellow flowers, a subtle hint of hazelnut, a discreet hint of beeswax and brown butter. A discreet tannic side, a fine chewiness on the finish/persistence and a beautiful sapidity on the persistence. A beautiful, full and gourmand wine.
