Cavalier Bartolomeo –  Barolo DOCG 2017 San Lorenzo, Barolo

The nose is aromatic and offers a small concentration, a small intensity. It reveals notes of wild strawberry, fairly ripe red berries and more slightly boysenberry associated with touches of tangy / ripe black berries as well as hints of lily, rose, with fine tips. sweet spices, nutmeg and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition and a certain gourmandize and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, raspberry and more slightly fleshy small red berries associated with a touch of blueberry, lilac, licorice, black tea as well as a discreet hint of almond, of salinity and toast. Good length.
