G.D. Vajra – Barolo DOCG 2017 Bricco delle Viole

The nose offers a nice finesse of the texture, a fine power and a certain gourmandize. It reveals notes of pulpy strawberry, blueberry and more slightly plum associated with a touch of cherry blossoms, gray pepper and a discreet hint of laurel. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, a certain freshness, a little gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy raspberry, blueberry and more slightly cornflower associated with small touches of chocolate, tobacco as well as a subtle hint of hazelnut and toasted almond. Good length. The tannins are precise and offer a fine chew. Good length.
