Cascina Adelaide – Barolo DOCG 2017 Fossati, La Morra

Cascina Adelaide – Barolo DOCG 2017 Fossati, La Morra

On the nose is fruity and offers a small concentration, a fine grain, a fine intensity. It reveals notes of luscious bigarreau cherry, violet plum and more slightly blackberry associated with touches of violet, cornflower as well as fine hints of nutmeg, with a discreet hint of fresh hazelnut. On the palate it is fruity, discreetly tight and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, good definition, a certain gourmandize as well as tension. The wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, bright raspberry and more slightly plum plum associated with touches of cornflowers, lilac, liquorice, a subtle hint of tobacco, a discreet hint of local grove. Good length. The tannins are a bit marked / extracted. A discreet hint of cocoa on the persistence.
