Cascina Rabaglio – Barbaresco DOCG 2018

On the nose it is fruity and offers pulpy, gourmandize as well as a nice fleshy / ripe fruit. It reveals notes of fleshy red plum, small crushed red berries and more slightly cornflower associated with a touch of Quetsche plum, Garriguette strawberry as well as discreet hints of vanilla. On the palate it is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a certain delicacy, a little creaminess, a nice definition, gourmandize, a certain little roundness, a hint of good bitterness as well as a fine grain. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, creamy raspberry and more slightly fleshy / juicy cherry associated with touches of violet, lilac, small blue plums, hints of vanilla, licorice as well as with a subtle hint of hazelnut and nutmeg. The tannins are precise, structuring and finely mellow. Presence of a fine chew on the end of the mouth / persistence.
