The nose is aromatic, elegant, racy and offers a nice power with smoothness / precision, racy texture, depth and complexity. It reveals notes of fleshy wild cassis, fleshy Boysen blackberry and more slightly crushed strawberry associated with violet as well as fineness of pulpy cherry and hints of gray pepper. The palate is nicely structured, precise, delicate and offers freshness, power in delicacy, a melodious side, a fine acidulous frame as well as silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy Boysenberry, bright blackcurrant and small notes bright blueberry associated with touches of pulpy cherry, hints of crushed redcurrants, chocolate, Bourbon vanilla as well as a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut and graphite/wet stone. The finish is powdery, sapid and delicate. Tannins are elegant, fresh and delicate. A nice bitterness at the end. Good length and persistence.
