Château La Vieille Cure 2019 – Fronsac

On the nose it is fresh, discreetly tight and offers power as well as a flowery side. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, crushed small fruits and small notes of fresh lilac, rose associated with small touches of crushed strawberry / red berries as well as hints of tonka bean, chocolate and a subtle hint. of blond tobacco. On the palate is fruity, balanced and offers a mineral structure, juiciness, acidity, roundness as well as gourmandize. The wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, crushed cassis and more slightly raspberry associated with a touch of small rather ripe wild red berries, iris as well as fine hints of chocolate and toasted almond. Tannins are finely mellow. Presence of a touch of bitterness on the finish / persistence.
