The nose is spicy and offers some power. The wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of blackberry, raspberry and cinnamon associated with touches of nutmeg powder, juicy / fresh wild cassis, tobacco as well as fine hints of local scrubland and a subtle hint of arbutus. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, some minerality, fat, a mineral frame, freshness as well as a fine creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, Bigarreau cherry and more slightly creamy blueberry associated with a touch of plum blossoms, cherry blossoms as well as hints of liquorice, nutmeg, with discrete hints of sweet spices and a subtle hint of chocolate (in the background). Tannins offer a little straightness and a fine firmness. Good length.
