Château Lafleur 2020 – Pomerol

The nose is full of elegance, full of complexity, very cerebral and offers richness (full of delicacy), a beautiful multi-layer side, plenitude/contained power. It will need a lot of patience and passion to discover this wine. It reveals notes of bright wild blackberry, fresh raspberry, small notes of camphor associated with touches of violet, strawberry flowers as well as hints of cuben pepper, mocha, very discreet hints of tobacco, flowers, a subtle hint of incense/gravels and coffee. The palate is full of finesse/delicacy and offers power, a beautiful aerial/contained power, a fine austere side but in the noble sense, a superb multi-layer side, fullness, fleshiness, complexity and plenitude. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, bright cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of cornflower, blueberry, raspberry as well as hints of lilac, zan, Badiane, toasted, caramelized almond, fine hints of Badiane, coffee, mint, peony (in the background), gravels and discreet hints of salinity. A superb persistence. Tannins are elegant, precise, full of control, racy, chalk and polished at the same time. More than 20 caudalies. A wine full of delicacy and full of length.
