Pagodes de Cos 2020 – Saint-Estèphe 

On the nose, fresh and offers good definition, elegance, a fine tightness. It reveals notes of bright black plum, strawberry and hints of morello cherry associated with small touches of strawberry, blackberry as well as hints of licorice, sweet blond tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, fresh, fruity and offers minerality, good definition, roundness, suavity as well as nice fruit, gourmandise, subtle richness, fine texture and tension. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright cassis and hints of small blackberries combined with wafts of raspberry, morello cherry and hints of light tobacco, cocoa/mocha, fine toasted, vanilla, camphor and toasted/torrefied hazelnut. Good length. Fine chewiness on the finish/persistence. Good length. Tannins are finely mellow.
