Château de Pez 2020 – Saint-Estèphe

Château de Pez 2020 – Saint-Estèphe

Oh the nose, elegant, racy, precise and offers an almost incisive side, freshness, finesse and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe strawberry and hints of ripe raspberry/pulpey combined with touches of ripe berries as well as fine points of tea, white pepper, spices and a subtle hint of saltiness. On the palate, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, a nice fineness of grain, elegance, subtlety and good definition, roundness, a friendly compact side with a very nice precision/finesse and a little fatness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, violet and hints of bright raspberry combined with hints of fleshy/pulpy strawberry with hints of pulpy blueberries, licorice, chocolate, fine vanilla. The tannins are smooth and elegant. Good length. A little chewiness on the finish/persistence.
