Château Monlot – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a certain freshness, a fine/racy grain and a fine power. It reveals notes of strawberry, small notes of juicy/fresh red berries, small notes of violet associated with touches of blackberry, rose as well as fine hints of sweet spices and a very discreet hint of nutmeg. The mouth is fruity and offers a juiciness, freshness, fat, roundness as well as a certain gourmandize, a small creaminess, a finely tight grain, tension and a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, blackberry, small notes of acidulous raspberry associated with touches of small red berries, lily, tonka bean, caramelization and a discreet hint of vanilla. Good length.
