Château Haut Gravet 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose, fruity, discreetly dense, offering freshness, structure, density and a little power. It reveals the notes of pulpy cassis, crushed strawberry and more lightly of crushed black berries associated with touches of chocolate, sweet spices, nutmeg, tea as well as a discreet almost black olive touch and an imperceptible touch of pepper (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, balanced, finely tightened and offers an tangy frame, juiciness, a good definition, a certain gourmandize, density, a certain darkness, excellence richness as well as tension (all in tension). The wine express the notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy/crushed cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of blueberry, pulpy berries, bright blue fruits, hints of chocolate, toast, nutmeg as well as a discreet touch of vanilla, hazelnut and black tea. The tannins are well conducted. Good persistence.
