Château Apogée 2020 – Lalande-de-Pomerol 

On the nose, it is fruity, it offers an intensity/concentration. It reveals the notes of bright black cassis, bright wild blackberry and more lightly violet combined with hints of licorice stick, blue plum as well as fine hints of strawberry, camphor and subtle hints of sweet spice. The palate is fruity, balanced, finely tight and offers a nice freshness, good definition, energy, tangy/freshness, dynamism as well as some small richness (finely tight). The wine express the notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, crushed/creamy black berries and more lightly pulpy strawberry combined with touches of blue plum, blueberry, licorice, vanilla and a subtle hint of cardamom and chocolate. The tannins are precise and finely mellow.
