Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard 2020 – Lalande-de-Pomerol 

On the nose it offers concentration, power (but with balance and control), depth and intensity. Notes of bright wild cassis, juicy small dark currants and more lightly wild strawberry with hints of fresh/fleshy blueberry as well as hints of Szechuan pepper, cornflower, licorice, a discreet hint of balsamic and a subtle touch of spice. The palate is fruity and offers richness (in elegance), concentration, a certain creaminess as well as tension, a fine straightness, a discreetly tight frain, a nice roundness and suavity. The wine express the notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, boysenberry and more slightly strawberry combined with touches of juicy cherry as well as a hint of juicy/pulpy dark plum, tonka bean, licorice, cardamom, tea, a discreet hint of sweet spices, coffee and toast. An imperceptible hint of salinity on the finish. The tannins are fine and straightness with a little firmness. Good length.
