Vieux Château Palon 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion 

On the nose it is fruity and it offers concentration, a certain power as well as freshness and a fine airy character. It reveals the notes of cassis, small blue currant and more lightly of lily associated with touches of bright purple plum, licorice as well as hints of wild red fruits, pepper, saffron and a fine touch of nutmeg. On the mouth it is fruity, a little tight and offers juiciness, suavity, a little concentration, density as well as richness, a tangy frame. The wine express elements of pulpy/juicy blackberry, dense/concentrated dark berries and more lightly bright blue plum combined with hints of wild strawberry, the zan, mocha, toast as well as subtle hints of saffron, black tea, graphite and toasted hazelnut. Good length. A fine chew on the palate/persistence.
