Château Haut-Bacalan 2020, Pessac-Léognan

On the nose, fruity, earthy, fine with a certain intensity as well as a nice stretched side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, ripe / pulpy red berries and touches of strawberry associated with hints of violet, szechuan pepper, fine hints of star anise and orange zest. On the palate, fruity with a juiciness, freshness,  a certain minerality, roundness, gourmandize, smoothness, definition, juiciness, a  tightness and body. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cherry, blackberry and hints of juicy / fleshy blackcurrant associated with touches of fresh raspberry, fresh flowers, graphite / nice minerality and hints of nutmeg fresh, tea, with a subtle hint of pepper and toast. Good length. The tannins are precise.
