Chapelle de Labrie 2020, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose, fruity, juicy and offers a bursting edge. It reveals notes of bursting blackcurrant, juicy/pulpy blackberry and juicy/pulpy black berries combined with hints of violet, caramelization, bursting blueberry, fine hints of lily, sweet spices, hazelnut as well as a very discreet hint of balsamic and grey pepper. On the palate, nicely fresh, juicy, greedy, all in delicacy and offers richness (all in delicacy), precision, energy, a good purity of fruit as well as a nice bursting of fruit. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bursting plum and more lightly juicy blueberry combined with hints of fresh strawberry, lily, mocha, distinguished minerality as well as fine points of toasted hazelnut, tobacco, cardamom and a discreet hint of tobacco. The tannins are massive, present and mellow. Sapidity and a discreet touch of good bitterness on the finish / persistence.
