Château Cos Labory 2010 – Saint-Estèphe, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant and offers a racy power, freshness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain and an aerial side on the approach. It reveals notes of bright blackberry, wild cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of griotte cherry, violet plum as well as hints of violet, Sichuan pepper, cherry seed, a discreet hint of vanilla, tonka bean, a racy minerality, a hint of bergamot, truffle and hazelnut. The palate is fruity, juicy, mineral, slightly tight and offers freshness, tension, energy as well as an acidulous frame, justness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, ripe wild raspberry and small notes of cassis associated with small touches of small wild fruits, cherry as well as hints of racy minerality, sweet spices, bergamot, toasted, truffle, a subtle hint of cardamom and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. Tannins are elegant and chewy. A beautiful sapid, suave and aromatic persistence. A very fine chew on the finish/persistence.
