Château Fourcas Hosten 2018 – Listrac-Médoc

The nose is fresh, flowery and offers intensity, a certain power as well as a fine crunchiness. It reveals notes of raspberry, fresh violet, lilacand small notes of racy minerality associated with touches of strawberry flowers, crunchy strawberry as well as fine hints of spices and an imperceptible hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, suavity, fullness as well as fat, a good definition, gourmandize and a beautiful acidulous/fresh fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/acidulous cherry, strawberry and small notes of lilac, cherry blossom associated with touches of racy minerality, volet, juicy/fresh cassis as well as discreet hints of zan, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of crushed almond and an imperceptible hint of fresh tobacco. Tannins are finely chiseled.
