Cave des vins de Sancerre – L’Étincelle 2019 – Sancerre

The nose is fruity and offers gourmandize, a fine intensity as well as a small power. It reveals notes of pulpy wild plum, fleshy cherry, small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of crushed blueberry, cornflower as well as hints of sugared mild tobacco, caramelization and a fine hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers freshness, a small tension, fullness as well as fat, a certain gourmandize and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy cherry, pulpy/juicy violet plum, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of cornflower, violet, tonka bean as well as hints of vanilla/toasted and toasted hazelnut. Tannins are supple. Good length. An imperceptible hint of rose in the aftertaste.
